Note: SOGEVAC vacuum pump has been manufactured in accordance with the latest technical standards and safety regulations. If it is not installed correctly or used correctly according to instructions, danger will occur. Under certain operating conditions, dangerous state may occur when the vacuum pump is running. If this happens, please contact our local office.
Before starting any work, the equipment must be cut off. Corresponding measures should be taken to ensure that the pump can not start. If the pump has pumped dangerous gas, it is absolutely necessary to determine the nature of the hazards involved and take appropriate safety measures. Follow all safety regulations! Safety measures must be taken before opening the suction or discharge ports.
LEYBOLD Maintenance
If it is necessary to send the pump to LEYBOLD for maintenance, please indicate whether the pump has any substances harmful to human health or whether the pump has been polluted. If the pump has been polluted, the nature of the hazard should also be explained. For this purpose, you must use our printed form, which is provided on demand. Copies of "Instructions for Contamination of Vacuum Equipment and Components" are reproduced at the end of this Instruction. Please attach this form to the pump or pack the pump with it. In order to meet the regulations and protect our staff, we need this explanation. If there is no "pollution instructions", LEYBOLD will return the received pump to the sender's address. The packing of the pump must be guaranteed: the pump will not be damaged in transportation, and there will be no harmful substances overflowing from the packaging.
